Impressive Sontag
AQHA #1590520
April 2, 1980 Bay Gelding 15.2
"Big Sonny" is more than suitable for light work. He would
make a wonderful "all-around" family horse. He was trained in
Texas for Western Pleasure, and has a nice slow jog and lope. He has also
done Training Level Dressage...
always in the ribbons. He was our lesson horse for 2 years since retiring
him from showing. He's a real "Cadillac" to ride! Push-button
cues, and very light and easy to ride. He would make a great trail horse
for someone who has time to just enjoy life with their horse! Trailers,
loads, clips, ties, even likes his teeth floated! No twitch EVER needed
for anything! Very personable!! 24 yrs. young!! |

Chestnut Gelding 16h"Tigger" is a retired show horse, with a
successful history in Hunter Jumper, Dressage, Cross Country and then
since retirement has been used as a lesson horse. He goes on "push
button" cues....with a WONDERFUL canter! Has "Man o' War" and "War Admiral" in his pedigree.
Although 23 years old he is VERY young at heart, but also very laid back
for a Thoroughbred....must be from hanging out with all our Quarter
Horses! Has plenty of personality.....ALWAYS comes when called.
Loads RIGHT UP! Clips, cross-ties, and excellent with vet or farrier.
Basically, just easy to be around.....very well-mannered on the ground as
well....has done Parelli ground work. We've owned him 13 years and he's never had
colic or been sick. Tigger is now resting and recovering from a bowed tendon (left front) but
walks with ease. Does not have to be on Bute or other medications. We give
him Fluid Flex in feed daily for his joints, as we do all of our older
horses. The first three pictures at the right are recent. You can see
he puts weight on the leg and can stand evenly on all four. When I ride
him, I wrap his legs with polo wraps, and he now has Egg Bar (round) shoes
on the front. Current on all shots, coggins, worming, etc.
He would be suitable as a pasture buddy or for light walks down the road
or trail. Great to go on trail rides, even alone he's fine with
everything...not spooky at all! In time, we do believe he will be able to
do light trot work and canter again. He's so well trained, he'll be WORTH
THE WAIT!
